Our pre-construction efforts typically begin and are best utilized in the very early stages of a project. We are accustomed to working with the Owners’ and Architect’s roles, perspectives and interests in mind. Our team is strategic and tactical; committed to integrity, transparency and competence. We use high level and low levels skills simultaneously. We attend design meetings on a regular basis with our clients and design consultants on every project and provide leadership in identifying early solutions and opportunities to help align projected costs with quality and schedule objectives; and to mitigate risk, delay and cost overruns. Our experience working on projects from inception to final completion, both as owners and builders, gives us the range of core skills necessary to manage the team and project forward while guiding the details still being worked out.
Our expertise in conceptual planning, design development and estimating helps to avoid false starts, costly modifications and lost opportunities. Sippican Construction’s cost control system relies heavily on its extensive database of prior projects and awareness of current market conditions This ensures that the latest cost and purchasing information is readily available to make timely and accurate cost projections. This cost approach and team effort are part of our essential toolbox that can be utilized by the owner, designers and sub – contractors for making informed decisions during the pre-construction and design phase in order to ensure the project is truly aligning costs, quality and scheduling objectives of the team.
